The science behind snow!

Using the website Weather Whiz Kids we found a wide variety of facts about what a blizzard is and how snow and ice are created. What are snowflakes? Snowflakes are made of ice, each snowflake is made up of as many as 200 ice crystals. Some snow crystals are symmetrical. Snowflakes will form only if the temperature is below 0 Celsius. 4th class Magnets

We spent Monday afternoon experimenting with magnets in Sciense in Mrs Vaughan’s 4th class. First we figured out how to move one magnet with another in different directions using a sheet with a road marked on it. Next predicted what would and would no attach to the magnets. Then we tested our predictions, while having lots of fun. Lastly we made some sculptures using the magnets and the material that were attracted to them. We learned that magnets have a north and a south pole and that they can attract or repel other magnets. Also that there are lots of different...
