Hi, This term Ms Jenkins’ 6th class took part in an exciting STEM project in conjunction with the local college, TU Dublin – Tallaght. Two engineers from the college, Gerry & Lucy, visited our classroom every Friday for four weeks. The children engaged in STEM activities in the classroom. 5th class went on a trip to Microsoft. Here are some of our recounts.   On Friday the 21st of September half of my class went to Microsoft to learn coding. We took a bus there. I was sitting next to Jordan. We talked for a bit then we did our own thing. When we went in we saw a big sign saying ‘Welcome Sacred Heart S.N.S’. European Project 2012 – 14

You are probably aware that the school has become involved in an international education project. This is a two year project that involves pupils and teachers from five different schools communicating and learning together on a variety of topics. The other four schools in the project are from Pisa in Italy, Kolding in Denmark, Oulu in Finland and St. Mark’s SNS, just up the road in Springfield.
