Christmas Hats

On Friday the 16th of December all of Third Class made Christmas hats with our family. Lots of mams, dads and sisters came to help us out.   There was elf hats and Santa hats. There was lots of decorations and glitter. There was reindeer, fir trees and snowmen to decorate. We got lots of glitter on us. We promised you an update on our progress so here it is! After many weeks of hard work, some setbacks and challenges and a lot of learning, we now have a fully functioning weather station up and running in our school! We have programmed the raspberry pi software to take lots of different weather measurements. Christmas Cooking

The final session of our Christmas cooking course took place this week. The morning was spent making very tasty scones. These ranged from tomato scones and cheese scones to the more traditional plain scone. They turned out lovely. The parents also made traditional brown bread. There was a beautiful smell of fresh baking coming from the kitchen all morning. A lot of time was also spent putting the final touches to the Christmas Cakes which were prepared over the previous couple of weeks. Knitting

Knitting! Tessa, Rita and Caroline taught a group from 6th class to knit. Georgia, Lucy, David, Kori and Kacey knitted for about 6 weeks. We all had a choice to pick between a Teddy Bear or a humpty dumpty teddy. Kori made a humpty Dumpty teddy bear. Georgia, Lucy, David and Kacey made teddy bears. We all got to pick our own colours of wool to knit with. We all started to knit the stomach, then we knitted the arms, the legs and finally the ears. Christmas Cookery

Our Christmas Cookery course has been up and running for two weeks. We have six very enthusiastic parents taking part. Last week we made delicious, traditional Christmas puddings. This week Ann made rocky roads desserts with us to begin with. Then, we then moved on and prepared a Christmas Cake.
