HSCL Christmas News We have been very busy here in Sacred Heart SNS in the run up to Christmas. Firstly, I would like to thank the children for their kind donations to the ‘Tallaght Adventure World Christmas Dinner’. We were thrilled with the kindness the children showed at this special time of year. It is unfortunately a very hard time for some. Your kind donations will go a long way to making people happy. Third class santa hats

Third class santa hats

All the parents came to the class room. Then we started to make our hats. We used all different types of materials. There was tinsel, scissors, plastic bows and it was sticky. Everyone had great ideas. People used scissors and glue to cut and stick things onto our hats. After, when we were done we got to design a Santa hat. After that the parents went home. The Gift of Giving

Dear Parents and Guardians, We are having two fundraising events in the run up to Christmas. These are: • Christmas Hamper Raffle • Christmas ‘Giving’ The raffle has run very successfully over the last number of years. Your child will be asked to bring in some food items, which will then make up hampers. The cost of tickets for this draw will be €2 for one strip of tickets or €5 for three strips. Fourth Class has Maths Eyes!

Our Maths Eyes Trip On Wednesday 5th of April we went to Sean Walsh Park to do a ‘Maths Eyes’ trail. We worked in pairs. We were given a clipboard, worksheet and a pencil. The worksheet had lots of Maths questions on it. We had to use our ‘Maths Eyes’ to solve the maths problems. It was good fun, some of the questions were easy but some were hard too. Afterwards we got to play in the playground and when we were finished we went to McDonalds. I had a giant chocolate muffin, it was delicious!
