Third class santa hats

All the parents came to the class room. Then we started to make our hats. We used all different types of materials. There was tinsel, scissors, plastic bows and it was sticky. Everyone had great ideas. People used scissors and glue to cut and stick things onto our hats. After, when we were done we got to design a Santa hat. After that the parents went home. A very productive morning was had making confirmation candles by some of our parents. The end result was fantastic. The children were delighted with them. Well done ladies.

Gerry Murphy, RTE meteorologist, came into our school on the 19th of June 2017 to see the 6th class projects based on the school’s Raspberry Pi Weather station. Ms. Ryan’s class made an information board about the weather station. This had information like the green house effect, clouds, weather balloons and lots more. Fourth Class has Maths Eyes!

Our Maths Eyes Trip On Wednesday 5th of April we went to Sean Walsh Park to do a ‘Maths Eyes’ trail. We worked in pairs. We were given a clipboard, worksheet and a pencil. The worksheet had lots of Maths questions on it. We had to use our ‘Maths Eyes’ to solve the maths problems. It was good fun, some of the questions were easy but some were hard too. Afterwards we got to play in the playground and when we were finished we went to McDonalds. I had a giant chocolate muffin, it was delicious!
