Christmas Cookery

Our Christmas Cookery course has been up and running for two weeks. We have six very enthusiastic parents taking part. Last week we made delicious, traditional Christmas puddings. This week Ann made rocky roads desserts with us to begin with. Then, we then moved on and prepared a Christmas Cake. Christmas Hats

On Tuesday the 9th of December we had a very busy day in 3rd class. Over 30 parents came in to help out with our literacy/Art lesson. The children all read a poem based on Santa’s hat, we then as a whole year group looked at different acrostic poems. Each child as part of their homework were given a worksheet to make up their own acrostic poems at home. After our short literacy lesson we then moved on to the real fun part of the day. Festive Fun

The Sacred Heart Senior School certainly got in the festive mood today. All staff and children dressed up for a festive fun day to celebrate the holiday season. There was Christmas jumpers, hats and tinsel to be seen everywhere in the school. Christmas Hats 3rd Class

On Thursday 11th December over 30 parents came into school to help out with our Christmas 3rd class literacy /art activity. The children with their parents read some acrostic poems based around the theme of Christmas. After this the real fun started, the children decorated their own Christmas hats with great assistance from the very creative parents. There was glue, tinsel, glitter and Christmas bows everywhere.
