Gerry Murphy, RTE meteorologist, came into our school on the 19th of June 2017 to see the 6th class projects based on the school’s Raspberry Pi Weather station. Our class has been doing a project on the weather in Ireland. We studied different types of clouds and what they are made from. We looked at temperature and the various instruments used to measure temperature. We studied the difference between weather and climate. The weather describes the state of the atmosphere above us at any given time. Climate describes the long term variations of the atmosphere. In Ireland, we have a mild, moist and unpredictable! Fourth Class has Maths Eyes!

Our Maths Eyes Trip On Wednesday 5th of April we went to Sean Walsh Park to do a ‘Maths Eyes’ trail. We worked in pairs. We were given a clipboard, worksheet and a pencil. The worksheet had lots of Maths questions on it. We had to use our ‘Maths Eyes’ to solve the maths problems. It was good fun, some of the questions were easy but some were hard too. Our Trip to Bubble Science in Tallaght Stadium   Ms. Maye brought some children from 5th class to Tallaght Stadium for Engineers week. We arrived at Tallaght Stadium around 12 o clock. We went inside a big room in the Stadium. There were lots of schools there. There was a lady named Susan that talked about bubbles. She made a sock puppet that sprayed out bubbles.
