Bake Sale Day 2018

Bake Sale Day 2018

At the end of the 2018 school year, 6th class held a bake sale to raise money for two special causes. The children managed to raise just over €1,000. Half of the money went to the Peter McVerry Trust and the rest for new school equipment. As seen in the photograph, new weighing scales and microwave were purchased for the kitchen. A set of yoga mats were bought for our new yoga classes. Some of this money will also be spent on the school toilets. Peter McVerry Trust is a charity set up by Fr Peter McVerry to reduce homelessness and the harm caused by drug misuse and social disadvantage. The bake sale took place in June 2018. Many pupils, parents and teachers came to support our annual fundraiser. All of the students that ran the bake sale have now moved on to secondary school but a couple of students returned to have their photographs taken with the equipment bought from the funds raised. Sacred Heart SNS would like to thank all students and parents who helped out on the day.
